Dunelm posts strong sales and record profit

Homewares retailer Dunelm has posted strong first half growth with total sales up 10.6%  year-on-year to £795.6 million and 36% up on pre-pandemic levels two years ago.

Retail sales rebound in January

Total UK retail sales increased by 11.9% in January against a decline of -1.3% in January 2021, when non-essential retail stores were closed due to Lockdown 3, but total retail sales grew 7.5% compared to pre-pandemic January 2020.

Amazon Prime UK membership fee could soon rise to over £90 for 15m Brits

Amazon Prime membership fee could soon rise to over £90, despite record UK sales of £23.6 billion. Amazon had a bumper year in the UK, with sales jumping from £19.6 billion in 2020 to £23.6 billion last year but that won’t halt a rise of at least 17% in the cost of Prime membership, if it follows the lead of Amazon US, says the home delivery expert ParcelHero.
