Why are these shades, reminiscent of cookies and cream, chocolate and caramel still standing so strong?
Cooking, reading and resting are done with intention, and everyday items are elevated and more highly valued.
Driven by the desire to re-engage with nature, give greater contributions to community and give back.
In times of uncertainty, it’s only natural to seek comfort in the past. So, at a time when we are all in need of as much joy as possible, we’ve turned to the most vibrant era of them all.
Modern Folk is where cottagecore and craft collide; reinvigorating designs with personality and pattern to create settings that are packed with personality.
A departure from the steely greys and cool whites that dominated in previous seasons, this style is all about warming things up.
Once reserved just for the greys and creams of this world, today the term ‘neutral’ extends to any shade that evokes a feeling of calm, nature, connection and simplicity.
Ultimately, visual rulebooks are being thrown out of the window, styles are being clashed like never before, and there’s no longer such a thing as ‘saving for best’.
Paying homage to homely settings and characterised by a nod to simpler, more sustainable, and cosier times—this look is ultimately built on the fantasy of modern rurality.
