The Next Chapter of Retail is Dry…

Following last year’s launch of the Anya Village – an ever-evolving roster of shops, hospitality, services and concepts on London’s Pont Street – Anya Hindmarch has introduced The Dry Drinker.

Open until 10th Feb, The Dry Drinker is a beautifully designed off-licence with a difference; appealing to new abstainers, the sober-curious, and mindful drinkers with their curation of no and low-alcohol options from around the world.

The opening of the unique corner store coincides with Dry January, a growing movement to teach people the importance of responsible consumption and the health benefits of reducing or eliminating alcohol. Of its development, Anya explains: 'I have noticed that there is a real movement towards drinking less. So I wanted to open our first off-licence in the Village – but with a difference.’

A symbol of modern in-person retail and one to watch for all in the industry, since the launch of the Anya Village, customers have enjoyed a continually growing offering of experiences. This includes permanent fixtures, like the Anya Café, The Bespoke Shop, and Label Shop, as well as seasonal ones that tap into evolving consumer needs, such as Anya’s Grotto, the Return to Nature pop-up and, of course, the Dry Drinker.
